The name "Uriah" is Hebrew in orgin and means "God is my Light."  The Uriah art pedestal features a manually rotatable and illuminated top designed to display your sculpture beautifully.  The effect is especially captivating on glass or crystal sculptures with a clear base.  The Uriah lighted sculpture display pedestal uses a long lasting, low heat, energy saving 40 watt compact flourescent bulb (CFL.)  That's equivalent to a 150 watt regular bulb.   CFL bulbs are much cooler, and therefore safer, than halogens and regular bulbs.  For an added measure of safety we coat the inside of the light box with a "high heat" resistant paint.  The white colored paint also increases the reflected light.      This art pedestals matching wall style on-off switch is conveniently centered on one side near the top so there's no bending over and kneeling down (like you'd have to do with pedestals that use an "in-line" roll switch.)  These art display pedestals come standard with a 10' cord.

     Uriah art pedestals are made from strong and durable 3/4" thick MDF and feature seamless dadoed lap joint edges that are rounded over for a smooth contemporary style.  The interior of the art pedestal is reinforced at the corners by 12 support blocks that are glued and screwed in place along the joint.  This techniques result in a very strong and sturdy pedestal. All fine art pedestals include matching levelers for increased stability on uneven surfaces.
